FREE training for individuals who want to work in Hospitality & Tourism
The project offers four weeks of in-class industry training geared to Hospitality and Tourism or Manufacturing, financial aid to assist with temporary barriers and a two weeks of paid job placement for individuals seeking employment in the sectors. To date, over 180 participants met the eligibility criteria to complete training and earn certification in WHMIS, Smart Serve, Food Safety, Customer Service, LEAN Awareness and Lock-Out Tag-out equipping them with key skills and qualifications to proceed to job placements and full or part time positions in the industry they choose. This program is an opportunity to test the effectiveness and efficiencies of sector-focused, partnership-based programming.
